on Wednesday, 11th March 2015, at 19 hours, at the Goethe Institute Ghana, Address: 30, Kakramadu Road, next to NAFTI, P.M.B. 52 - Cantonments, Accra, Ghana.
The video “The State of the Art – The Ghanaian Perspective” brings together all the protagonists of "The Black Stars of Ghana - Art District" in one short film. Thoughts and comments about artistic life and art production in Ghana, as well as current developments in the country's cultural life are discussed - providing a fertile ground for further discourse and debate on the trajectory of the visual art scene in Ghana and Africa in general. It is a compilation of excerpts from a huge archive of research material and conversations which are arranged and presented in a kind of spontaneous collage, bringing together poignant statements and perspectives from the various conversations documenting the development of the contemporary visual art scene in Ghana.
