In English, the Nederlands Scheepvaartmuseum translates to the National Maritime Museum – which is a good description of what it is. Situated a short walk away from Amsterdam Centraal in an old navy warehouse, this museum hosts a range of artifacts and exhibitions about the Netherlands’ sailing past.

Tickets, accessibility and booking
Tickets cost €18.50 and there’s no need to book a specific time slot. It’s likely that you’ll be able to get tickets on the door at the National Maritime Museum, but we always advise to book ahead to be safe.
