Georgia Chess Association 2015 Perdomo Class Championship in honor of IM Carlos Perdomo Date: February 27 – March 1st Format: 5-SS, G/90 + 30s. Round 1 of 2-day schedule G/90 d;5. Prizes & Sections: $3,000 based on 90 paid entries, 65% Guaranteed Premier (over 1999): $500-350-200; Under 2200: $200-125-75 Class A (1800-1999): $200-125-75 Class B (1600-1799): $200-125-75 Class C (1400-1599): $150-100-50 Class D (1200-1399): $125-75-50 Under 1200/Unrated: $100-50; Unrated: $50 Rating based on most recently published supplement. Each player must play in his/her own class. Trophy to top Georgia resident each section, top under 2200 in Premier section. Note: Under 2200 is not a IM Carlos Perdomo is a top chess player in Georgia and runs many chess programs in Atlanta. Entry fee: $60 on-line by February 26. $70 on-site. Free entry to IM/GM/WIM/WGM. NMs and FMs have free entry if registered at least 2 weeks prior to tournament (Friday, Feb 13th Registration: Online registration deadline Feb. 26 (Thu) at www.georgiachess.org. Registration cap is 150. Onsite registration: Feb 27 (Fri) 5:30-6:30pm for 3-day, Feb 28 (Sat) 8:30-9:30 am for 2-day. No re-entries. Rounds: 3 day schedule: 2/27 (Fri): 7pm; 2/28 (Sat): 2pm, 7pm; 3/1 (Sun): 10am, 4pm. 2 day schedule: 2/28 (Sat): 10am (G/90;d/5), then merges with 3 day schedule. Simul with IM Carlos Perdomo: 3/1 (Sun), 2-3:45pm. Open to Class B and below. Free to tournament participants, $25 for non-participants. Max 20 players. Byes: One 1⁄2 point bye available in rounds 1-4. Zero point bye available in round 5. Additional byes are also zero point byes. Must commit when entering. No changes after close of registration.
