Our goal is to collect 500lbs of food during these four weeks at 1027VaHi Campus and 1027TocoHills Campus hopefully a total of 1000lbs so we can give it to Atlanta Community Food Bank. During this time of year, the demand for food is high and this kind of food drive helps fill the demand. We encourage you to collect food at your schools, workplaces, and from friends. Once food is collected we bring to Inman Middle School on November 20th as worship at 10:15am followed by a Community Thanksgiving Meal. We will have plenty of turkey, ham and all the fixings. The meal will start at noon as soon as church is over. Here is a list of items that Atlanta Community Food Bank is requesting: Peanut Butter Canned Tuna Canned Beans Canned Soups, Stews and Pastas 100% Fruit Juice Canned Fruits and Vegetables Macaroni and Cheese Dinners Whole Grain, Low Sugar Cereals Families and individuals who struggle to put food on the table also have a tough time with the household essentials that many of us take for granted. In addition to food, these non-food items are greatly needed and appreciated: Paper products Diapers Toiletries To learn more check out the AFCB website.
