Adult Program: The Refugee Journey says
Join us for an educational Shabbat "The Refugee Journey" on April 8th at 7:30pm. This will be the first in a series of programs focusing on the growing human need for protection and security generated by the world-wide refugee crisis, organized by the Tikkun Olam committee. We are pleased to welcome Hope Nikimoto Gray from New American Pathways (make this a live link to their website) as our speaker. She will help us understand the journey from persecution and displacement to arrival here in the U.S and the steps in building a safe, stable, self-sufficient new life. We will explore how we as individuals and as a community can advocate for and assist the refugee community here in Atlanta. (Please note, the educational Shabbat evenings begin with a very abbreviated service, leaving most of our time together to focus on the evening’s topic.)
