Experience the future of jazz as the next generation of jazz musicians from metro Atlanta middle schools debut on the Rialto stage! Rialto Jazz for Kids Jazz Jam showcases Atlanta’s most talented young jazz artists.

Directed by trumpeter and head of Georgia State University’s Jazz Studies and the Rialto Jazz for Kids program Dr. Gordon Vernick, and led by Grammy award winning saxophonist, composer, and GSU instructor of jazz and improvisation, Mace Hibbard, Rialto Jazz for Kids students from Inman, Ridgeview, Sequoyah, Summerour, and Taylor Road middle school bands will participate in the 2017 Rialto Jazz for Kids Jazz Jam. Each band will play three jazz selections, complete with individual solos. The evening will culminate with a performance by the Rialto Jazz for Kids All-Stars, comprised of select students from the Jazz for Kids program’s five partnering middle schools.
