Canticle Ensemble Presents Song Of Solomon Directed By Michael Harrison says
Song of Solomon is a devised experimental theater piece inspired by the classic book of the Bible. We are exploring contemporary attitudes about sex and religion through music, dance, spoken word, video installations and the personal views of the cast in their own words.

This is not a Church show. We touch on such topics as Polyamory, S&M and the bible's attitudes toward women.

This is not a sacrilegious show. We have cast members ranging from the devout to the nonbeliever.

What we are hoping to create with this piece is a multimedia collage looking at two subjects that consume the lives of millions of people. We want our audience to laugh, and cry, and dance, and sing, and think, and maybe come out just a little different than before.
