A. Rippin' Production says
Lou Reed was an American musician, singer, and songwriter. After serving as guitarist, vocalist, and principal songwriter of the Velvet Underground, his solo career spanned several decades.

The Velvet Underground was a commercial failure in the late 1960s, but the group gained a considerable cult following in the years since its demise and has gone on to become one of the most widely cited and influential bands of the era. Brian Eno famously stated that, while the Velvet Underground's debut album only sold 30,000 copies, "everyone who bought one of those 30,000 copies started a band."

A. Rippin' Production has teamed up with Ms. Nicole Reynolds, who brought you a tribute to Gram Parsons and Hank Williams, Sr., to bring you an extremely memorable night dedicated to the rock n roll animal himself, Lou Reed!

Please join us as we pay tribute to a rock n roll icon as we raise funds for a young man's scholarship fund. Dury Lewis was the son of the late Atlanta musician, Coleman Lewis, who played in the bands SMOKE, Red Rainbow and Smoke that City, to name a few. It's our duty to see that this young man earn the education he so rightfully deserves.
