The Kid Stuff block is dedicated to the process of growing up, and films that deal with the lessons we are forced to learn in childhood in order to become parents ourselves.

- How I Got Made directed by Tracy Facelli (TN)
In 1981, young Gaby learns lessons about loyalty, the movies and family. She puts these new skills to work in a unique way as she helps her younger brother defeat the school bully after watching "The Godfather" with their Dad.

- The Importance of Lios directed by Danielle Edwards (ATL)
The Importance of Lios is the story of a young earthworm named Lios who longs to know his place in the world. He spends most days alone in his room, reading books. Lios feels unimportant, forgotten about in the soil, while larger animals like dogs and horses star in movies above ground.
His father, Toor wants so badly to show his son that earthworms are important too, especially the soil around them. He takes his son on a journey where Lios learns just how important their ecosystem is and that without it, there could be no life on Earth.

- The Hideout directed by Daniel Wahlen (TN)
A young girl's life is thrown into chaos when she is molested by her teacher. Through the support of her best friend, she finds the strength to tell her mother.

- A Letter to My Son directed by Maurice Hicks (NC)
A tired and worn, would-be father pens a hypothetical detailing his perspectives and fears to his unborn son.
