Left Out says
Carlos Thompson and Morgan Carlisle present:
Left Out
2 DEC 16 - 11 DEC 16

Left Out brings awareness to the modern plight and treatment of veterans in America. From the battlefield, to civilian life, Carlos Thompson and his wife Morgan Carlisle have created art based on their experiences of attaining “normalcy”. There is a dual purpose to this show as art has the ability to help process and heal traumatic events. Left Out will give those who served the outlet to express themselves, and move towards a place of understanding as others learn to understand them.

Winner of Idea Capital’s first Margaret Kargbo Artist as Activist Grant, Left Out will be on display for a week in December at Eyedrum Art and Music Gallery. Performance, found art, poetry, testimonials, video and panel discussions will be included in the event with participating veterans who have been brought into the creative process.
