"Rock Talk - Talking 'Bout The Rock" by Paige Bowman

From the wrestling ring to the silver screen, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has become a fascinating and central figure in pop culture today. This talk will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about your favorite tough guy, and what he's been teaching us about ourselves all along.

Bio: Paige Bowman is a comedian and cat mother in Atlanta who will take The Rock over Vin Diesel any day, even though they are both really silly names.

"Penis Fencing & Genitalia Arms Races: Animals are kinky and the ocean is about as heteronormative as tumblr" by Rachel Pendergrass

Bio: Rachel Pendergrass is a marine biology student, writer, and science communicator native to the Atlanta area. When she's not working on her shark research or school work, she is a co-producer of WRITE CLUB Atlanta and the assistant director of the Dragon Con Science Track. She was also the official poetic journalist of TEDxPeachtree in 2013.

"Should We Worry about a Narcissist in the Oval Office?" by Ashley Watts.

How much weight should voters give to candidates’ personalities? Narcissism is one personality trait that seems particularly relevant in this election cycle. In this talk, I’ll discuss work by myself and others which suggests that narcissism may be a double-edged sword in leadership domains, predisposing to both positive and negative outcomes.

Bio: Ashley Watts is a PhD student in the Clinical Psychology program at Emory University. Broadly, her research focuses on personality and personality disorders. She specializes in psychopathic and narcissistic personality traits.
