Atlanta Audubon Society says
Atlanta Audubon members and friends are invited to join curator Anne Lambert Tracht for a special viewing and talk about Birdwatching, an exhibition at the Gallery Walk at Terminus through March 17. Several of the artists will also be present to talk about their work.

“The study of birds has been of significant interest to artists for thousands of years. Not only are they visually stunning and complex creatures but they also have a rich symbolic history within art. Dating back to the early Renaissance, the use of different types of birds took on a variety of meanings within Christian narrative painting and many of life’s lessons were cleverly depicted through the use of bird imagery. For instance, the use of a finch might represent a souls' return to heaven, while the use of a crow could signify the devil at play... The artists in this exhibition continue the long tradition of incorporating birds in art but with their own contemporary meaning.” –Anne Lambert Tracht

This event is free to Atlanta Audubon members and friends, but registration is requested. For more information or to register, please visit www.atlantaaudubon.org/upcoming-events.
