Changes are coming. From education to waivers to post secondary options, in all areas of life for persons with developmental disabilities and their families the old ways of doing things will not carry us into the future. AADD is hosting a free symposium “Preparing for the future: What It Means for You,” to help educate parents on the changes to expect, foster discussion and bring about new ideas and innovations.

National experts will discuss emerging practices and future trends for key areas related to developmental disabilities, including waivers, education/IEP, post-secondary education, financial planning, inclusive health and wellness, inclusive recreation, inclusive community, customized employment, transition, aging, customized housing/shared living.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the issues and brainstorm solutions in a small group setting among peers. Snacks will be provided.
