4 Short Documentaries Made In Collaboration With Overlooked ATL Communities

A benefit screening supporting the Humanity First ( brought to you by a community-engaged GSU film collective. The program will be held/hosted at Murmur, is sponsored by GSU's Peripheral Visions, and consists of the following four documentaries:

• THE RED LINE - Explores the boundaries of the neighborhoods surrounding Turner Field that are fighting the effects of gentrification. Follow the community advocacy efforts to maintain a sense of security and placement in society.

• TRUE ISLAM - Demystifies misperceptions of Muslim beliefs and culture in collaboration with the Atlanta chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

• CIVIL BIKES – Understanding Atlanta and building communities through biking. Civil Bikes founder, Nedra Deadwyler, shares her passion and advocacy for biking as a form of civil engagement.

• JERUSALEM HOUSE - Highlights Jerusalem House's heroic efforts in helping those with HIV and AIDS live their lives to the fullest.

Pay what you can - $5 suggested donation at door. $1 raffle tickets!!! No one will be denied entrance if there is a lack of funds.

A bar will be provided by Murmur!

• WHEN: Doors open at 6pm, screening to begin at 7pm. Sunday, April 30th.

☞Paid parking is available at the Laz Parking Deck at 76 Broad Street SW.
☞There are also metered spots nearby on surrounding streets, which are free after 7pm.
☞Ubering/Lyfting is a great idea as well, as is MARTA'ing to the Five Points or Garnett Station and walking over to Murmur, which is a block and a half away.
