Hailing from Athens GA, Satsuma brings an eclectic sound that combines a strong songwriting focus with an improvisational twist. The band’s formation in early 2014 brought together the minds of guitarists Jimmy Hadaway and DJ Rees, bassist Evan Williamson, and drummer Bob Constable to play music that is inspired by the fusion of jazz, funk, folk, progressive rock. Satsuma has performed in a variety of venues both in and outside of Athens, including the Green Room, New Earth Music Hall, and The Hummingbird, among others. Satsuma continues to bring a fresh perspective through their distinct live sound and songwriting abilities.

Partial Cinema

Members from a few Athens Georgia based bands combined talents to create the unique funk/indie pop sound of Partial Cinema in the summer of 2013. Each member brings something completely unique to the table: Jeff Porter with his background in classical guitar and sitar; Dane Walsh with training in jazz trombone and piano; Thomas Bailey and his experience in bass, electronic music, and sound design; Adriana Thomas with gospel and classical voice training and a funky drumming style; Ian Edwards with jazz sax, guitar, and sultry man voice. Partial Cinema draws heavily from influences as diverse as The Meters, Howlin Wolf, Modest Mouse, and Tinariwen (desert blues) but manages to create a unified and chic sound that is unmistakably their own.

Indie Keegan

Raised in Atlanta and moved on up to Habersham, Ga. Whilst a mist the mountains, guitfiddlin, mis-placed commas, boozin, loozin, and perusin. Somewhere in the hectic calamity all around, music started and hasen't stoped.
