West Stride says
14 runners are running 22 kilometers per day through 10 cities to raise funds for the SHARE Military Initiative, a program that treats PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries in US Military Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. West Stride and Saucony are joining these runner - the Shepherd's Men - on the final leg of their 9-day, 1400 mile journey from Boston to Atlanta, and we need your help!

Each of the Shepherd's Men will be running 22K a day for 9 days straight while wearing a 22 pound flak jacket. The emphasis on 22 is to represent the 22 Veteran suicides a day that occur in the U.S. They started on March 26th and will be finishing in Atlanta on Sunday, April 3rd.

We are rallying community runners to join West Stride in running with the men on their final leg. You are invited to join! Grab your red, white and blue gear and meet us at the following:

10:15am - meet at Shepherd's Center (parking available in parking decks) - we will do a 4 mile run to Woodruff Park, await the men and then run back with them at their pace.

11:45am - if you just want to join the last leg, meet us at Woodruff Park to greet the men and run the last leg to Shepherd's Center.

It will not be a race and we will move as fast as the slowest runner. No one get's left behind. Bring flags, wear red, white and blue and let's shut down the city so that people take notice.
