Aspiring young writer Wilhelm Meister (played by frequent Wenders collaborator RĂ¼diger Vogler) undertakes a journey through the depths of Germany, with his mother's permission, in order to broaden his horizons and hopefully find himself. The second film in Wenders' "Road Movie Trilogy," WRONG MOVE is roughly based on the Goethe novel "Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship" and won Wenders Best Director at the 1975 German Film Awards.
