Aipp 30: Party For The People says
Happy birthday to us - Austin Art in Public Places is celebrating 30 years of spectacular and surprising public art all around Austin!

Grab a friend and join us November 15, 2-4 pm, at one of our city's most iconic public art pieces: Open Room Austin (which may be better known as the giant picnic table near the Seaholm Power Plant).

Austin Bike Zoo is bringing their butterfly bike and Niz Graphics will create a live painting of a giant birthday card for everyone to sign. Yes Ma'am Brass Band will carry us out in a grand way!

Keep your eyes open for door prizes from these partners:
Prelog's European Kitchen
Black Dog Coffee
ZACH Theatre
Miro Quartet
The Long Center
ACL Live
Luna Juice

Just like all our public art in Austin, this event is free and open to the public! Fun for the entire family: find a spot at our pop-up party's picnic table and grab a refreshment from participating local businesses, all while taking in a tune. We can't wait to celebrate our big 3-0 with you!

Metered parking in the neighborhood is free on Sundays. Paid parking available in Seaholm garage (discounted for shoppers at Trader Joes).

For 30 years, AIPP has provided Austin with a unique identity that makes our town special. From Iron Wave to Solar Tree, AIPP has commissioned over 200 public art pieces - many which you've seen, but might not have realized it - in all 10 of Austin's districts! AIPP's mission to bring art to the people isn't just a hope, it's a reality.
