We won't let weather get us down this time! Bat City is back with its Cherrywood Coffeehouse reading series, and William, Cassandra, & Jason are bringing flowers to the bats this February 25th. *Please come early to grab some drinks and snacks, and do note the day shift from Tuesday to Wednesday nights. William Glick is a first year M.F.A. candidate at the Michener Center for Writers studying playwriting and screenwriting. He grew up in South Florida and studied politics and theater at the University of Chicago. His short play Gifts of the Christmas Season was produced by Northlight Theater, and his ten-minute play Mrs. Paddy Boo won Independent Playwright's National Ten Minute Play Contest. His play Kin Folk is currently being workshopped by The New Colony in Chicago. His new play After: A Post-Gay Vaudeville Sponsored by Faggot Dolls will premiere this April at the Cohen New Works festival. Cassandra Powers is an MFA candidate in the New Writers Project at the University of Texas and fiction editor for Bat City Review. She is from Arizona. Jason Tobin is currently an MFA candidate in the New Writers Project at the University of Texas at Austin and poetry editor for Bat City Review. He originally hails from northern Michigan and now splits his time between Austin and Portland, OR.
