St. David's Episcopal Church: Concerts and Special Services says
We invite you to join the Environmental Guild of St. David’s Episcopal Church at “For the Beauty of the Earth”, a community-wide Earth Day celebration and concert on Saturday, April 18.

The event will begin with a free environmental fair from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in Sumners Hall with a host of engaging activities, from master gardeners and ecological art to delectable food and more. This fun gathering will showcase ways to promote sustainability in our lives and community.

Then the St. David’s Singers will present a thrilling, one-hour concert of gospel music, spirituals, Anglican favorites, and environmentally-themed poetry at 4:00 p.m. in Bethell Hall. The St. David’s Singers are a 40-voice ensemble known for their dynamic and vivacious choral presentations, and they will be joined by special guest conductor and pianist Austin Haller, former Associate Director of Music at St. David’s.

Advance tickets are now available at Advance tickets are encouraged – they are $12 and are available through Thursday, April 16. Tickets are $16 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Sustainable Food Center and the Environmental Guild.

The Sustainable Food Center of Austin helps cultivate a healthy community by strengthening the local food system and improving access to nutritious, affordable food through its farmers’ markets, cooking and nutrition classes, family gardening initiatives, and other programs. The St. David’s Environmental Guild empowers the parish and the larger community to become stewards of the Earth in their daily lives. From “mug trees” to downtown Austin’s largest solar array, St. David’s has become a Green Faith Sanctuary, a City of Austin Green Business Leader, and a Keep Austin Beautiful Award winner.

Complimentary parking will be available in St. David’s garage on Trinity between 7th and 8th Streets.
