Help Free Maria Estela & Her Daughters From Detention Call Today! says
Maria Estela Marquez Marquez and her three daughters — Melissa (15 years old), Carmen (13 years old), and Jackeline (11 years old) — are refugees from El Salvador who have been detained by ICE at the Karnes Detention Center for more than 7 months. The lengthy detention is causing the girls grave harm, as documented by their doctor in January. Since we began calling for Maria Estela's release, her attorney received notice that ICE will let the girls go free - except that they can't be released without their mom, who is still not permitted to leave.

Please CALL TODAY and demand that Maria Estela be released so that her and her girls can access the services they need to recover from the trauma they have experienced.

1) Call DHS Headquarters (ask to leave a message for Sarah Saldaña's assistant): 202 732-3000

2) Assistant Director of the ERO, Phillip T. Miller: 202-732-3941

Call script:
"I'm calling in support of Maria Estela Marquez Marquez (A# 087 591 777), and her three daughters—Melissa (A# 202 072 753), Carmen (A# 202 072 754), and Jackeline (A# 202 072 756) held at Karnes Family Detention Center. We urge you to release them all from Karnes, Maria Estela on an Order of Supervision and her daughters on their own recognizance. They have been held for over seven months, and the long detention is causing them great harm. We also urge you to release all the families who have been detained for a prolonged period of time, including those with prior orders of deportation."

Maria Estela was held at gunpoint by three gang members and her life and the lives of her three daughters were threatened. The same gang members assaulted one of her daughters on her way home from school. The family fled to the US, only to be detained for over seven months.

PLEASE CALL TODAY! Let's stand up for this mother and her 3 girls!

We know that ICE responds to community pressure, so let's make this happen!
