Hailing from the mighty H-Town (Hamilton), Aoteoroa (New Zealand), Katchafire, have become a global roots reggae phenomenon..The all Maori Reggae band, bring their pure classic sound to music lovers worldwide, delivering one of the most authentic Reggae shows around today.Built on a family movement, It all started when lead guitarist Grenville Bell, father of Lead Singer Logan Bell & Drummer / singer / songwriter Jordan Bell, moved into an apartment building in town with his then teenage sons where they could make music all night, and the rest is history. Countless jams and sell out concerts later they are now an 8 piece collective of multi talented songwriters and musicians and have become a staple on the Californian and Pacific Roots scenes.

If you missed Black Slate when they came through last year, now's your chance to see them. They have quickly become one of our favorite old-is-new again bands and if you love conscious live reggae, this is your jam.

Black Slate is a roots reggae band hailing from the 1970’s who backed many of the Jamaican artists touring Europe such as Ken Boothe, Dennis Brown and Delroy Wilson. They had their first hit in ’76 with the anti-mugging song, “Sticks Man”. They took a hiatus and returned in 2013 with a new EP World Citizen and have just released their newest, A Peaceful Demonstration.The lineup features original founding members Anthony Brightly, Chris Hanson, Desmond Mahoney and vocalist Jesse Brade.

Mystic Roots

Mystic Roots Band is a Chico, CA born, 5-piece pop reggae fusion band. With two feet solidly in reggae, the band seamlessly juggles elements of dancehall, Hip-Hop, EDM, pop, and a taste of rock. The band is always sharpening their evolving musical arrangements of vocal harmonies that are made richer by the groups’ female/male dynamic. The music and lyrics are catchy and upbeat, yet with a powerful, positive message.
