Katrina & Memory says
In recognition of the upcoming 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the University of Texas Libraries is inviting community members displaced or otherwise impacted by the storm to participate in an event that will help to catalog personal memories of one of the deadliest and costliest natural disasters in American history.

The community is welcomed to come together at the Carver Branch of the Austin Public Library in East Austin for the event — “Katrina & Memory” — to help in the development of an online map that will serve to document and preserve stories from survivors affected by the storm.

This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments and food will be provided for attendees.
