Music And Dance Party With Atash And Christian Fernandez

The members of Atash welcome back to Austin our brother-in-arms Christian Fernandez for a special night of music, dance, and friendship. Christian has been influential in the Austin world music scene since the 1990s, when he was the frontman and bandleader of the legendary salsa group Ta Mère. Known for his resonant voice, tasty guitar playing and great spontaneous musical energy, he's been a strong force in Latin and world music from rumba catalana and flamenco to Cuban son and Brazilian choro, and everything around and in between. He returned to his native southern France in 2010, but remains a lifelong member of Atash. This concert will be his first in Austin since then.
