MonkeyWrench Books says
Austin’s only collectively operated bookstore, Monkeywrench Books (MWB), will be hosting a discussion with Food for Black Thought (FFBT) on Eliot Tretter’s new book Shadows of a Sunbelt City: Racism, the Environment, and the Knowledge Economy in Austin (@AustinsShadows).

FFBT is an action research initiative based in Austin that creates educational resources that promote more socially-just community food systems The book discussion will also feature UT Geographer Rich Heyman and will take place at 110 E. North Loop from 5:30-7:00PM.

The book will be available for sale and Tretter will be available for book signings. All of the proceeds from the sales of his book will be going to MWB and FFBT.

The book discussion and community dialogue will be followed by MWB's 14th anniversary party at 7pm, featuring a vegan-friendly potluck! Come celebrate 14 years of providing radical books and creating space for Austin community members who are pushing towards something radically different.
