Workers Defense Project says
In the next five months, Workers Defense Project hopes to educate and prepare 3,000 Texans for the immigration executive acton programs announced by President Obama last November but we need your help.

To do this, Workers Defense Project along with University Leadership Initiative, United We Dream and Education Austin will be recruiting a team of volunteer community navigators to help us in this effort and are hosting our first training on October 10. Community navigators will assist community members to prepare for and defend executive action.

Over 800,000 Texans could receive work authorization through these program once they are implemented - a benefit that could drastically change their ability to seek dignified work and provide for their families. It is imperative that people begin preparing for these programs now, even while Governor Abbott's lawsuit continues to make its way through the courts.

Become a community navigator and join the movement to build a better Texas for immigrant families!
