Radiolab’S Jad Abumrad In Conversation On Creativity, Risk & Gut Churn
Advertising
Time Out says
March 2, 7 p.m. @ Paramount Theatre
Jad Abumrad, host of WNYC’s Radiolab, knows something about creative struggle. He’ll be telling the story of Radiolab and how he found his voice, with attention paid to all the horrible feelings involved in making something new.
He'll be joined on stage by Noveller, the solo project of Sarah Lipstate, for musical accompaniment. We’ll also give a sneak peak into Radiolab’s latest experiment, a GPS-enabled audio walking tour created just for Austin. We're working with a brand new iPhone app called Detour to make an hour-long Radiolab story that unfolds as you walk around downtown. Detour's founder, Andrew Mason, will lead a conversation with Jad and other Radiolab producers about the challenges of working in a new medium.
If creativity is a priority in your world, you’ll walk away from this night with ideas to put to use in your own life.
