Join Sarah and Suzanne along with the Travis County Democratic Party as we all celebrate this special and historic day.
This morning, after a hearing in which Sarah and Suzanne sought a Temporary Restraining Order to allow them to obtain a marriage license and get married today, State District Judge David Wahlberg signed a court order directing County Clerk Dana DeBeauvior to issue a marriage license, which she did after consultation with her attorney, County Attorney David Escamilla. The marriage ceremony, in the presence of Sarah and Suzanne’s daughters, Dawn and Ting, happened shortly thereafter outside the Travis County Clerk’s office, with Rabbi Kerry Baker officiating.
