Have you ever wanted to spend an evening with the people who made Austin weird? Now’s your chance! Come join us for an evening of fun and food! Support SouthPop by buying a seat at Threadgill’s South (Dang) and visit with some of the folks who’ve made Austin the wonderful and unique city it is. The event will help the Center raise some much needed funds for preservation supplies and staffing to keep sharing Austin’s cultural history with you and generations to come. Join us Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Threadgill's to enjoy a dinner with any one of the following: Joe Nick Patoski Eddie Wilson Denny Freeman George Majewski Jim Franklin Sarah Bird Bob Wade Kathy Valentine John Kelso and Kevin Russell The event is limited to 10 tables each featuring an Austin Icon with 8 seats available for purchase at each table. You’ll be able to hear stories from the good old days right from the horse’s mouth, ask questions, and get to know a living legend. Check in and cocktails begin at 6pm, the dinner event and live music at 7pm. Festivities will finish up at a respectable 10pm. You can purchase tickets through the Eventbrite ticketing system, or call the Center at 512-440-8318, come by for a visit, or email us at info@southpop.org, and we'll help you out!
