In this two hour restorative workshop we will be utilizing several different therapeutic modalities all of which act to discharge stress from the physical, emotional, and mental bodies. Some of these exercises include Pranayama, Guided Meditation, and TRE (Trauma Releasing Exercises): this new technique dramatically increases well being while releasing deep chronic tension that the body experiences in states of stress or trauma. There will also be some discussion on nervous system regulation as well as energetic self-care. Part II of this workshop will offer a further exploration of the techniques we learned in Part I; it is NOT necessary to have attended Part I. A large portion of this workshop will be dedicated to holding long, restorative poses where the class will exert little to no neuromuscular activity. In other words, we’re gonna chill out big time and leave feeling gooooood.
