Torah On Tap: Kosher Eating says
Some people eat to live, while others live to eat. But how many of us actually choose to eat consistently Kosher? In a world of increasingly creative food options and low-quality animal-ingredients, keeping Kosher might seem less appealing.
What is the purpose of eating Kosher?
When did this movement begin?
What is so taboo about cheese-coated, bacon wrapped scallops?

This month, we welcome Orthodox Rabbi Moshe Trepp of Texas Hillel to discuss the history, purpose, and practical applications of Kosher eating. Rabbi Trepp moved from Israel to Austin in 2006, and has since devoted his time to educating and discussing Jewish life with young adults.

No prior Jewish knowledge is required to attend Torah on Tap. Whether bacon is your arch nemesis or go-to cheeseburger compliment, you are welcomed to join in the discussion. We ask that people bring their opinions, questions, and concerns regarding this topic.
