North Austin Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit which aids "low bottom alcoholics", providing shelter and other basic needs at a crucial time in their early sobriety. NorthAustinFoundation.com and its tenant, the 24 Hour Club of Alcoholics Anonymous, serve an important segment of our community, aiding newly sober alcoholics, whom have often lost all on their journey to their alcoholic bottom. Providing basic needs allows for simple human requirements - such as dignity - while creating an opportunity to focus on early stage recovery from alcoholism.

Tickets for the fundraiser are a minimum donation of $25, "pay what you can" for those under 1 year of sobriety (or other financial need), and only about 125 seats will be available. Last year's fundraiser generated over $4000 for NAF from generous members of Austin's sober community.

John Henry's music is a story of his life, his journey of recovery, and the good & bad times that brought him peace - thanks to "a guru named Frank"... John Henry's first CD release of his 50 year music career came out in 2015. "Sunshine In My Suitcase" gives all proceeds to The Sunshine Project, which teams Austin Classical Guitar with Austin Community College to provide free education to at risk youth, complete with guitar studies.

Please spread the word - all are welcome!!

*** Because N.A.F. is not affilliated with Alcoholics Anonymous, we ask that you refrain from announcing the event in meetings, unless non-AA "recovery related announcements" are allowed. While NAF's efforts directly benefit a needy segment of AA members, AA's Traditions state a desire to not affiliate with ANY outside organization, even those with the best of motives. All related parties highly desire to clearly delineate this, and honor AA's Traditions. Thank you for your cooperation!
