Bangkok CityCity Gallery is playing host to A Conversation with the Sun, an exhibition by award-winning indie film director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, in collaboration with production house DuckUnit and technologist/artist Pat Pataranutaporn.
The interdisciplinary exhibition showcases a variety of the director’s artworks, ranging from motion pictures to technology-driven creations. Apichatpong has also released “self-documented footage” gathered over years of filmmaking, which also acts as a “personal archive.”
Technologist Pat Pataranutaporn, a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology or MIT, brings the cutting-edge AI technology of GPT-3, a platform used for building conversations, to add more dimension to the film director’s pieces.
The exhibition runs at Bangkok CityCity Gallery until July 10.
