Premiered at Sant Andreu Teatre SaT! in 2012, the SÂLMON< dance festival gives another outing to this work from La Veronal, the company founded by Marcos Morau. 'Islàndia' is a scenic investigation into the value of the image and the concept of reality, about the importance of image at a social level and its transcendence. At the same time, questions are asked about the type of society that we live in, and the need to find a new model in the midst of the current global crisis. The author chose Iceland because of its particular societal model, which shows that there are alternative ways to run a country. Separating an image from its meaning leads us towards a new truth, it leads us towards Iceland.
