The Dog Gones

The Dog Gones are an acoustic duo who play contemporary music based in traditional blues and Americana. Their repertoire includes songs by Robert Johnson, Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal, as well as original material. Jonathan Glanzberg (guitar and vocals) has lived and performed in the States and Latin America. A Barcelona resident since the late '90s, he's played at Festa Major celebrations around the city, Harlem Jazz Club, Honky Tonk and many other venues. Joe Lewis (bass and vocals) is an eclectic, self-taught musician born in Nashville, who, after living in the States and around Europe, settled in Barcelona, also in the late '90s. Lewis, who performs live and in the studio as a session musician, thrives on genuine American music – blues, funk, soul, R&B and rock – yet also explores creative and improvised music. Tonight they play the Gràcia Festival at Joan Blanques de Baix de Tot.
