The Russian opera returns to the stage at the Liceu with this title by Rimsky Kórsakov. Once quite popular in the theatre on La Rambla before the Civil War, 'The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh' has been less revered in recent decades. The newly created production is under stage direction of Dmitri Tcherniakov, with musical direction by Josep Pons.
