Time Out says

'the most delicious chocolate since 1863', 'the biggest chocolate house in the world' and 'Europe's first chocolate restaurant'. In fact, the two families began separately - Fassbender in 1863 and Rausch seven years later - and only teamed up in 1999. It's hard to avoid the tourist crush in the world's largest chocolate store, but still a joy to see such extravagant celebration of the cocoa bean, with giant edible models of the Brandenburg Gate and other local landmarks. The upstairs restaurant serves wacky seasonal dishes that all contain chocolate, and offers 'chocolatedinner- shows' with tacky historical themes.
