Boo! It’s a wicked night time adventure for our smallest ghouls, goblins and ghost busters for one night only.

Win prizes for best Halloween costumes, explore the Museum and brave the gruesome creepy crawlies, see spooky science, dance at our Halloween Disco, and when you’re all partied out, you can purchase edible bugs for both your trick and your treat!

Museum Entry Points & times
• 5pm to 6pm – Level 0, Playasaurus Place off Grey Street
• 5.30pm to 6.30pm – Level 2, Main Foyer Doors

Demonstrations
• Feeding hungry spiders. See Dr Robert Raven in the Sciencentre, dishing out goodies to tarantulas, blue light scorpions, a trapdoor spider and large huntsmen.
• Close encounters with creepy crawlies. Visit the Discovery Centre and hear Dr Christine Lambkin discuss insects that eat other insects, and some from the inside out! And some that eat us!
• Slithery friends. Pop into the Wild State gallery and see live snakes with Patrick Couper.
• Dangerous Molluscs. They may look pretty, but beware of the poisonous cone shells and blue ringed octopus, hear more from John Healy in the Wild State gallery.
• Skeletons in the Museum Closet. Flesh munching beetles and a big boiler… hear how the Museum prepares bones and how skeletons are used for research with Heather Janetski.
• Spooky Science. See what bubbling potions Science Steve is concocting and get your hands on some glow in the dark slim, at Playasaurus Place.

Activities
• Is that a maggot? See little things close up Under the Microscope in the Discovery Centre.
• Get ready to strike a wicked pose and win best dressed at the Halloween Costume Contest on Level 2.
• Show some monster moves at DJ Super Steph’s Halloween Disco on Level 2.
• See what fun creatures can be made with Balloon Twisting at Playasaurus Place.
• Top off your Halloween costume with Wowee Creations Face Painting on Level 2.

Explore the Museum
