Caroline of Cairo' is coming back to Brisbane on March 18/19 2017 for an exciting weekend of all new workshops and the latest updates direct from Egypt.

Saturday 18 March: 10am-12pm
Aish Maya - Modern Egyptian
A modern Egyptian choreography to a classic song by Nagat, “ Aish Maya” showcasing the latest styles direct from Cairo. This version of her famous song has been redone specifically for dancers by Randa Kamel’s orchestra and has that full “live on stage in Egypt” feel. An excellent addition to any dancer’s repertoire!
Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Sunday 19 March: 10am-12pm
Ageza - Egyptian Pop
Bousy Samir is one of sweethearts of Egypt today and in her song “Ageza” she teams up with Lebanese singer Jad Shwery to produce an earthy yet funky and catchy Arabic pop song. This fun choreography mixes both classical and modern moves suitable for both a solo dancer and a troupe.
Level: Open (Beginner and above)

Sunday 19 March: 1-3pm
Going back to the roots of bellydance this baladi choreography focuses on traditional Egyptian Baladi with a few modern elements added to spice it up. During the course of the workshop you will also learn the difference between true baladi and modern and how it formed the basis of raks sharki.
