Catherine Britt ‘F.U. Cancer!’ At The Triffid W/ Troy Cassar Daly, Busby Marou, Danny Widdicombe says
On the back of her 2015 ARIA Nomination and 2016 Golden Guitar win for Best Female Artist, country music girl CATHERINE BRITT is telling cancer where to go with four special shows appropriately titled ‘F U Cancer!’.

In 2015, at the tender age of 30, Britt was diagnosed with stage 2A Breast Cancer. Tackling the indiscriminate disease head on, the singer songwriter has spent the past 12 months undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

A year of massive personal career highs and accolades marred only by the often crippling effects of the treatment forced the songstress to reduce her touring and appearances due to required rest. Now she is ready to emerge and with the help of industry friends confidently say, F U Cancer!

Spurred by her desire to bring attention to educating fans to check themselves and also raise funds to help find a cure, Britt created the concept and has quickly been joined by supporting friends.

Four shows only have been confirmed in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Britt’s hometown of Newcastle. Britt will share the stage with different friends at each show making each show unique and a once off experience. Those already confirmed to appear as part of the four date special concert series include JOSH PYKE, TROY CASSAR-DALEY, SHANNON NOLL, BECCY COLE, BUSBY MAROU, WENDY MATTHEWS, WES CARR, ELLIE DRENNAN, LLOYD SPIEGEL, DANNY WITTICOMBE, special surprise guests and more to still be announced.

The shows will be a celebration for Britt who will complete her final treatments at the end of February. The four shows will be more than just great musical concert experiences. Each show will have Catherine recall her own personal cancer experiences, invite her special guests to recall stories of how it has affected their lives and most importantly raise money to help find a cure for cancer.

After having 6 ARIA Nominations, dueting with Sir Elton John and collecting a swag of other awards, Britt thinks that these shows could possibly be her career highlight to date and is promising four specials shows as never presented before.

“The last 8 months have been incredibly hard for me; looking back I don't know how I made it through it all. I now see a light at the end of the tunnel and am excited to celebrate with music and good friends. I can't think of a better way to do it, than with a tour. Saying 'F U Cancer' is the perfect way to respond to this disease. It's brave, in your face and strong, just like all those that have fought Cancer and all of those that will in the future".

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 16th February and are expected to sell out. All booking information and details can be found at
