- For the first time in the history of the Broncos, we will meet our South-East Queensland rivals the Titans in a Brisbane-based finals match at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

- The Titans will have to overcome a nine-game losing streak (since April 2007) at Suncorp Stadium to progress into Week Two of the NRL Finals Series.

- The only other time the Broncos and Titans have met in a finals encounter was at Robina's Cbus Super Stadium back in 2009 when Brisbane stormed home to win 40-32 in a 13-try thriller.

- Broncos Corey Parker, Sam Thaiday, Andrew McCullough and Alex Glenn played in this final against current Titans Nathan Friend and David Mead.

- It has been six long years since the Gold Coast have finished the regular season in the Top Eight.

- This will be retiring Captain Corey Parker's LAST EVER Broncos game at Suncorp Stadium with the club finishing 5th and only earning one home final. #ThanksCozza

- Titans Co-Captain Nathan Friend began his NRL career as a Bronco 15 years ago and after stints with Melbourne and the Warriors, now comes full circle in what will be his 121st game as a Titan (241st NRL career).

- Friend was also a member of the inaugural Titans team in 2007 that rolled the defending premiers Brisbane 28-16 in front of a crowd of 47,686 in their first ever meeting.

- The Gold Coast outfit stopped the Cronulla Sharks' 15-match winning streak this year and are capable of matching it with the best teams in the competition on their day.

- The Broncos and Titans have only played once this season - it was centre James Roberts' first game against his old club after a controversial pre-season switch to Red Hill, and resulted in the flyer scoring inside the opening three minutes in a Round 5 Broncos 24-16 away victory.

- The newest member of the Titans, fullback Jarryd Hayne, has the most finals experience at the club with eight post-season appearances for the Parramatta Eels.

- The last time the Titans played the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium was back in Round 20 of Season 2015 with Brisbane cruising home with a 34-0 victory.

- This is the first time ALL three Queensland teams have competed in the same #NRLFinals Series.
