Jonathan Sri, Councillor for The Gabba says
We've won! The official results have been confirmed, and I'm getting sworn in on Tuesday, April 12. We've run one of the biggest and most radical council election campaigns in Brisbane's history. We've achieved a massive swing towards the Greens without compromising on our core values, and I think it's fair to say we've inspired and energised a new generation of progressive activists and campaigners to continue fighting for the right to our city. This is the start of a broader movement to reclaim the right to the city. Time to celebrate.

Free entry. All welcome.

Rough (very rough) lineup:
- 6:30pm: the evening's entertainment kicks off with some spoken word, followed by a few thank you speeches and a bit of info about how you can stay involved with the Right to the City campaign going forward
- 7;15pm: local jazz-pop band Miel will blow your mind
- 8pm: my speech and general rambunctiousness
- 8:45pm: we all dance our arses off to funk/soul band Fat Picnic
- 10pm: Motor Room closes and we kick on down the road (perhaps to Rumpus Room... TBC)

We have no money left to pay for drinks or food, but there's plenty of good stuff at the Boundary Street Markets. We might collect small change donations on the night (no obligation whatsoever) to support our federal campaign, but this is definitely a free entry event. (Kids and under-18s are welcome)

If you helped out with the campaign in any way - whether it was handing out how to vote cards or doorknocking or folding letters or whatever - please come along.
