Working alongside the national mental health charity Grow Australia, Struggling Minds: Music For Mental Health is an event organised by two Brisbane based music journalists who aim to support the local indie scene along with a cause which is well worth people's attention, mental health. Taking place in West End’s trendiest venue, The Bearded Lady, Struggling Minds is set to be a mind-blowing party with a point.

Struggling Minds is headlined by the young singer-songwriter Asha Jefferies, who this year managed to support Ella Hooper and even go on to receive Triple J airplay for her enchanting indie-folk single Honey, Save Me From My Falsehoods.

Alongside her are one of this year's most exciting Brisbane breakout acts, the incredible Sunhaus. Appearing in April with their uplifting yet melancholic debut single Realignment, the four-piece alternative rock outfit are already making waves, receiving Triple J airplay and praise from The Music.

The two-time Queensland Music Award nominated brit-pop rockers Winchesterster will also be gracing the stage. With their infectious upbeat indie groove, they're sure to get you on the dance floor.

To add to the string of local legends, the vibrant pop-rock quartet named by Howl & Echoes and AAA Backstage as one of Brisbane’s best and one of the most underrated emerging artists, OJ Mengel will be bringing their contagious and quirky talents to the event.

Finally, opening the event are the fascinating instrumental progressive-rock trio Signals who throughout the year have been performing in venues all around Brisbane and turning heads with their unique sound.

Struggling Minds is presented by local music blog AAA-Backstage, and sponsored by the trend setting SWOP clothing exchange, who will be providing a whopping $100 gift voucher for the raffle on the night. For only $10, it won’t burn a hole in your pocket, but it will do a lot of good!

Struggling Minds will kick off at 7pm so make sure to get down to West End to soak up some of the most enthralling music Brisbane has to offer!
