In support of the release of their new single ‘Roxy’s Rage’ off their forthcoming album ‘Overfed’, The Gonzo Show will be headlining at the Zoo on Thursday 26 November 2015. In support will be local stunners the Bassethounds and Folklore.

The gig will kick-off an east coast tour for the Gonzo’s, capturing some Sydney and Melbourne dates in early December.

The Gonzo Show are a 5-piece indie rock band based in Brisbane, Australia and have been active since 2006, touring locally and nationally over this time.

The Gonzo Show embraces multiple influences predominantly drawn from the indie rock and psychedelic rock genres. Our diversity is considered best represented within our new album which ranges from melodic and bright surf rock overtones to dark and brooding psych and grungey undertones.

Dual vocals, equally shared by the two leading song-writer/guitarists, assist in the variation and diversity of the overall sound on the album. Everything from halting shrieks of a Maria Sharapova in the throws of a Russian orgy, to the drawn out snarl of a love-scorned Kim Gordon.

‘Clowns to the left of me, jokers to right, and I guess that’s why they say, every rose, has its thorn’ - A gonzo show gig will deliver the swagger of a Steelers Wheel song with the excitable guitar cockery of a Poison classic.

Yours faithfully,
