If you’re looking for some family fun, don’t forget to add The Hills Carnivale to your calendar. The annual event held in May is free to enter, with a whole host of activities for little kids and big kids alike.

The main stage offers multicultural acts and local talent, while the kids’ stage has everything from puppets to sing-a-long. If you like to shop, there are lifestyle markets to peruse and multicultural food stalls to add something a little different to your weekly groceries. Give the kids something to do while you browse with $2 rides or they can enjoy the roving entertainment moving throughout the park.

Set up a picnic rug as the light fades and enjoy a spectacular fireworks finale at 6.30pm to wrap up the night.

Held at George Willmore Park in Ferny Hills, The Hills Carnivale provides fun for the whole family 14 May, midday onwards. For more information, contact Moreton Bay Regional Council, or visit www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/hillscarnivale/
