The Royal Ballet, one of the greatest ballet companies in the world, returns to Australia for the first time in 15 years, exclusive to Brisbane as a part of QPAC's 2017 International Series.

With an illustrious heritage built on the innovation and extraordinary creativity of dance royalty Frederick Ashton and Kenneth MacMillan, The Royal Ballet will present two original works in Brisbane and for the very first time outside of their home, the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London.


Woolf Works
Inspired by the writings of Virginia Woolf, this Olivier Awards winning innovative new work is an exhilarating and compelling series of multi-sensory collages. Choreographed by Resident Choreographer Studio Wayne McGregor, with music by Max Richter, one of the most influential composers of this generation.

The Winter's Tale
The company's first full length adaption of a William Shakespeare play since the company’s world renowned 1965 production of Romeo and Juliet. Choreographed by Artistic Associate Christopher Wheeldon, with music by acclaimed composer Joby Talbot, The Winter's Tale is a luscious and absorbing narrative ballet.
