With 32 beers on tap, 60 to 70 in bottles, game sausages for snacks, and a heavy-hitting team of owners (Matt Eisler and Kevin Heisner of Bar DeVille, Nightwood and much more; Nick Podesta and Jason Freiman of Lumen and Duchamp), it’s clear that Bangers & Lace is more than your average beer-and-a-shot joint. “We just saw a need for something on the strip of Division that was a little bit more refined than the many bar and grills that line that street,” Eisler, who lives in the neighborhood, explains. “Not necessarily fancier—not necessarily stuffier by any means. Just something that might appeal to someone who’s looking for more than a pitcher of Bud Light and chicken wings.” And for those who just want Bud Light? The in-house cicerone (beer sommelier) can help you get over that. 1670 W Division St, 773-252-6499.
