More Lollapalooza after-parties

It feels as if we're getting an e-mail about yet another Lollapalooza after-party every 15 minutes, and the fest starts tomorrow! Since they keep coming and our issue dedicated to this weekend has already hit newsstands, here's a roundup of new events that are going to make your desire to be in more places than one even more acute than it already is. Then again, many of the previously announced fest after-shows are already sold out, so one of these may be your ticket to keeping the party going.

THURSDAY 2

Thenewno2 (DJ set) + Chris Holmes + Greg Corner + Jeremy Scheuch Debonair Social Club. 9pm; $10, free before 11pm with R.S.V.P. at do312.com/oldstyle. Fronted by Dhani Harrison, son of the late Beatles great, thenewno2 is typically a synthy experimental rock band—that’s anything but typical—but here, it’s functioning in a DJ capacity, likely with Harrison in the booth doing what he damn well pleases. This is balanced with proper sets from Chris Holmes—who also has a connection to the Beatles, being a personal fave of Sir Paul McCartney—Kill Hannah’s Greg Corner and Do312’s Jeremy Scheuch.

FRIDAY 3

Tommie Sunshine + Har Mar Superstar + Chris Holmes + Greg Corner + Ana Calderone + JHN RDN & Ian Saint Laurent + Ryan Paradise Debonair Social Club. 9pm; $10, free before 11pm with R.S.V.P. at do312.com/oldstyle. This stacked Friday lineup embodies the Debonair aesthetic perfectly with indie-leaning dance beats from former Chicago hippie-DJ Tommie Sunshine, a live set from the always kooky Har Mar Superstar and round-robin DJ sets from hipster jock Ana Calderone, indie A-lister Chris Holmes, Philly left-field party throwers JHN RDN & Ian Saint Laurent and residents Greg Corner and Ryan Paradise.

Wale + Rockie Fresh enclave. 9pm; $20, free before 11pm with R.S.V.P. at enclavechicago.com. Despite a steady string of praise for his records and, even more so, his mix-tapes, D.C. rapper Wale has remained somewhat of an underground MC. That’s guaranteed to finally be behind him given his prominent placement at this year’s Lolla fest. Once he steps off the stage, he’s headed to enclave for this after-show performance with local rapper Rockie Fresh. DJ Torio spins.

SATURDAY 4

Chancellor Warhol + Zebo + Trew The Ace Bar. 9pm; $10. Boasting a style that combines Kanye and Jay-Z’s bravado with beats fit for a Daft Punk album, Nashville rapper Chancellor Warhol flexes a style all his own. Good thing he’s teaming up with distinct DJ personality Zebo and Trew, the man behind Sub-T’s forward-thinking Face Melt nights, for this official Lolla after-show.

Crimson Lounge Lolla After-Party: Bloc Party (DJ set) + Washed Out (DJ set) + DJ Mom Jeans + Them Jeans Crimson Lounge. 9pm; $20, must R.S.V.P. to crimsonchicago/do-rsvp for admission. Lolla weekend is the be-all end-all for indie-band DJ sets, and this party at the lush Crimson Lounge is no different. Kele—lead singer for dance-heavy rock act Bloc Party—spins, as does Washed Out brain trust Ernest Greene. The two Lolla performers are backed by That ‘70s Show’s Danny Masterson in his DJ Mom Jeans guise and L.A. indie-dance remixer Them Jeans. That’s right, two DJs with jeans in their name.

RAC + Adam 12 + Chris Holmes + Greg Corner + Dave Ziebarth + Ryan Paradise + Heaven Malone Debonair Social Club. 9pm; $10, free before 11pm with R.S.V.P. at do312.com/oldstyle. RAC stands for Remix Artist Collective, but it could just as easily be a play on this coast-to-coast cadre of producers’ ability to rack up high-profile remixes. The group, with members from Portland to Brooklyn, has turned its remix skill to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Foster the People, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Expect a lot of RAC’s own work at this stacked night that also includes sets from She Wants Revenge’s Adam 12 (a.k.a. Obama’s DJ), Dave Ziebarth of indie-techno band the Virgin Tears, weekend-long fixture Chris Holmes and local scenesters Greg Corner, Ryan Paradise and Heaven Malone. To top this one all off, it’s hosted by Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, known to all you fans as Jesse, and Gossip Girl’s Kaylee Defer.

Shlohmo + Salva + Grenier + Chrissy Murderbot Primary. 10pm; $5, free before midnight. Putting a much-needed underground twist on the Lolla after-party offerings, DJ boutique Primary and Red Bull Music Academy team up for this bass-heavy bash featuring L.A. lo-fi, trip-hop and dub purveyor Shlohmo; Lolla performer Salva of S.F.’s Frite Nite DJ crew; expansive bass man Grenier a.k.a. DJ G; and juke-bass expert Chrissy Murderbot.

SUNDAY 5

Kid Color + Zebo Primary. 10pm; $5, free before midnight. Honoring two of Lollapalooza’s only local DJ picks for 2012, late-night destination Primary locks down tatted-up and versatile mainstay Zebo to join forces with shimmery indie-disco-dance man Kid Color. Proprietor Derek Specs, a.k.a. Mettle, opens.
