You could win a free burrito every day with the new Dos Toros app

If you're anything like us, your phone is probably crammed with apps associated with your go-to lunch spots, allowing you to peruse the menu, place mobile orders for pick-up and receive appetite-tempting notifications. Most apps also give you the ability to accrue points through a digital version of the old-school punch card, so that you eventually earn a free lunch long after you've grown tired of eating at the same place every few days.

Dos Toros, the New York-based burrito chain that unveiled its first Chicago location last year, launched its own mobile app today—but you won't be able to use it to place an order, look at the menu or pay for your meal. Instead, the new Burrito Time app does just one thing: It gives away free burritos daily—guacamole included.

Each day, the Burrito Time app sends out a notification at a random time, prompting users to open the app. The first 10 people to access the app will receive an offer that's redeemable for one free burrito at any Dos Toros location. "We believe Burrito Time is the only push notification that guests will actually enjoy," Dos Toros co-CEO's Oliver and Leo Kremer said in a release.

Burrito Time is currently available for download via Apple's App Store (no Android version is planned at this time). If you're lucky enough to win a free burrito, you'll be able to snag it at any of Dos Toros' three Chicago locations, at 1 N Dearborn Street, 300 S Wacker Drive and inside the Wells St. Market. Good luck!
