Intraceuticals facials

UP IN THE AIR Here’s a little fact about Intraceuticals facials: Madonna got one before every show on her Sticky & Sweet tour. And while you probably don’t have Madge’s budget—she performed 85 shows on that tour—getting this treatment just once will do your skin a world of good. Intraceuticals, the Australian skin-care company, uses therapeutic-grade oxygen in its serums, which make skin look brighter and firmer. The products now appear at mySpa in the Fairmont Hotel, including the Rejuvenate oxygen-infusion service (60 minutes, $195). After gently exfoliating my face and applying steam, the aesthetician uses a machine with a wand that distributes the serum via a stream of pressurized oxygen. The wand is gentle and cool, in a refreshing way. Even though I was super-relaxed (it’s hard not to immediately chill out once you’re in this soothing spa), I felt little jolts of energy from the oxygen and could immediately feel this stuff working. The service doesn’t involve extractions, so I didn’t suffer from post-facial puffiness. Instead I looked—and felt—fresh-faced. Since the spa knows it’s easy to get hooked on this service (hey, Madonna did), you can purchase a package of six applications ($ 1,170, which includes take home products) and come back for the treatment every week. 200 N Columbus Dr (312-946-8945, myspachicago.com).
